Rezept für Ananaslimonade

1. Squeeze the lemons

  1. Roll the lemons on a work surface to release the juice, then cut them in half.
  2. Squeeze the lemons using a citrus press or by hand, removing all the seeds.
  3. Measure out 1 cup of fresh lemon juice and set it aside.

2. Prepare pineapple juice:

  1. If using fresh pineapple, blend the pineapple pieces in a blender until smooth, then pass the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to extract the juice.
  2. Alternatively, for the sake of simplicity, you can also use unsweetened pineapple juice bought in a store.

3. Make the simple syrup:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix 1/2 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water.
  2. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has completely dissolved (approx. 2–3 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.

4. Combine the ingredients:

  1. In a large jug, mix the fresh lemon juice, the pineapple juice, and the cooled sugar syrup.
  2. Add 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  3. Taste and adjust the sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar, lemon juice or water as needed.

5. Chill and serve::

  1. Place the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to ensure it is completely chilled.
  2. Serve over ice and garnish with pineapple slices, lemon wedges or fresh mint for a special touch.

Optional: Make it sparkly:

  1. For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of water with sparkling water or soda water just before serving.
  2. Stir carefully so that the mixture is not lost.
